Actor for Stage, Film & TV | Voice Artist
Raised in Graz in 1985, Alexander Absenger trained at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna (now MUK). He has appeared on stage at Theater der Jugend, Schauspielhaus Magdeburg, Theater Osnabrück, and Theater in der Josefstadt, with guest performances at Thalia Theater Hamburg, HKD Teatar Rijeka, and Bozen. His stage work earned him Nestroy Theatre Prize nominations in 2015, 2017, and 2025, and he won the award in 2020.
On screen, he has appeared in Vienna Blood, Tatort (Crime Scene), Stinatz Krimi (Stinatz Crime Series), Tage, die es nicht gab (Days That Never Were), and numerous other film and television projects, demonstrating his versatility. He is also an accomplished voice artist, working in dubbing, voice-over, audio dramas, and commercials for both national and international productions.
